In all the press reports of the past few weeks like the one from WIRED.com above, theToilet Bike Neo was described as being “debuted” when it was already unveiled last October. Strange.
However, none of the recent news reports seemed to notice that in this static promotional photo of the “Neo” the rider was wearing poop protection—a helmet with cute white poo on top or that the toilet bike featured Sasquatch-size toilet paper.

Waaaay back in October of 2011, Toto took the Toilet Bike Neo out on its first promotional tour of 1,500 km that crisscrossed Japan—This month’s press barrage is hardly the “debut” that the recent news reports claim.

The UK’s first bus powered entirely by human and food waste has gone into service between Bristol and Bath.
The 40-seat “Bio-Bus” runs on biomethane gas generated through the treatment of sewage and food waste.
The eco-friendly vehicle can travel up to 300km (186 miles) on one tank of gas, which takes the annual waste of about five people to produce…more...
