More Japanese robot wankering

Last month we featured Suidobashi Heavy Industries’ funky “KURATAS” robot (3Yen / 2012-07-31) including a video of their prototype in action on the streets of Tokyo.

   what can possibly be the use of the behemoth robots in real life? They can’t walk among us because we’d be squashed to a pulp, right? What ever happened to Japan’s interesting robotic developments, especially in the humanoid department?
