Oh, that’s Japan’s #1 mascot, “Kumamon,” a bear who represents Kumamoto prefecture. Kumamon was crowned at the National Yuru-chara (lit. ‘loose character’) Summit.

Alternatively, you don’t mean “The Friend Zone“? Sad to say, the ladies, Japanese and otherwise, are far too friendly to me (compared to to the amount of time/effort/money I am willing to waste on them).
