Japan exports pillow love, yowza!
Since the days of ancient Japan, guys have “loved” their pillows, which are called dakimakura (dah-kee MAH-koo-rah) (3Yen / 2009-07-24).

And, for the past several years Japanese women have loved pillows too (3Yen / 2008-01-04). So, it’s only natural that the Japanese linen maker, Kameo Corp., in Tokyo would share their love and start marketing this “Boyfriend Pillow” in the West as described below.
The Boyfriend Pillow
CNN Nov. 23, 2012
…the Boyfriend Pillow…serves as a bedtime substitute for the missing man in your life. Feel the warmth and security as you curl its plush arm around your body and rest your head on the half-chested slab of memory foam that oddly happens to be wearing a full button-down shirt to bed. Maybe he just came home drunk from happy hour. Again.
Oh, but you don’t care. You still love him.

The same company also offers a Girlfriend Pillow too, which has a product description in breathless engrish…

Previously on the 3Yen we have reported on a one-armed, robotic. bear pillow stops snoring by pawing and attacking users if they snore in their sleep called: “Jukusui Kun” (3Yen / 2010-10-08) . And, don’t miss our classic report about The ultimate otaku hookup, ‘Hug Pillows’ (3Yen / 2007-10-21).
