Last year the 3Yen reported on the Japanese airline ANAL’s travel promotion, Is Japan Cool? (3Yen / 2012-03-07) offering a free pair of round-trip airline tickets to Japan.
The target market that ANAL’s campaign is focused on is sort of hard to imagine—Unemployed/unemployable Wapanese living in their mom’s basement don’t jet off for a madcap, 3-day, shopping holiday in Harajuku. (⌒▽⌒)

Why is there Gordon Freeman in that ‘Let’s Do Japan’ commercial?
Do they want to attract a postapocaliptic nutcase to Fukushima ?
Also, BigUp for the Victorian turtleneck on the kimono… way to wreck the only sensual part of this trainwreck (exposed neck in the back… -it’s a slutty cat thing… don’t ask…)

That Cool Japan promotion is about as trendy as this forlorn Fresh Fruits magazine sitting on the NYC Kinokuniya bookstore shelf since 2008…
