It’s Seijin-no-hi, Japan’s Coming-of-Age Day (Wiki) when anyone turning 20 years old in the year celebrates by dressing up in fancy kimino and attending boring their reaching the Age of Majority ceremonies. As you can see below, Edward Scissorhands’ sister—no daughter I guess—is really getting into the occasion*.
